- 2002-23 AFC Champions League: Al Ain has competed in the AFC Champions League 2002-03 and emerges as the victories by defeating BEC Tero Sasana football club of Bangkok. In fact, Al Ain is the only football club from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) that has won the AFC Champions League 2002-23.
- 2005 AFC Champions League: Al Ain participated for the 2nd time, but was defeated by the Al Ittihad of Saudi Arabia by 5-3 aggregate goals. Al Ain was the runners up of AFC Champions league 2005.
- 2016 AFC Champions League: For the third time, Al Ain participated the AFC champions league and faced the Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors of South Koria in the finals and lost of the opponent by 3-2 goals. Al Ain was the runners up of the AFC Champions League 2016.
- 2023-24 AFC Champions League: Al Ain of UAE is going to participate the AFC Champions league for the 4th time. They have been paired in the group A alongside Pakhtakor of Uzbekistan, Al Fayha of Saudi Arabia, and Ahal FC of Turkmenistan.
